How to plot on a map where people live who come to your church
Ever wondered where people live who attend your church? Ever need to figure out who lives in your neighborhood and attends the same church? Maybe you could use the data to start a Bible study in your neighborhood. Or maybe use the map to find the unreached people groups in your city.
If you've got a tab delimited database - then head over to http://www.batchgeocode.com/ and let it go to town. Try it out for your church. You might be surprised. Maybe you won't.

- The "hole" you see in the middle of Topeka is the park/VA.
- We draw from SW of TBC mostly.
- We strong draw just SE of 470.
- TBC's "unreached people group" is in the triangle created between north of 470, Topeka Blvd (just East of TBC), and the Philip Billard Municipal Airport (North East).

Never ask another guitarist to fix your guitar
...unless you ask first how they'll do it. This is how one of Topeka
Bible Church's electric guitarists greeted me today to show me how to
block the bridge of my Line 6 Variax 700 guitar. Notice the mallet
and jig saw in hands (and the natural smirk).

By the way, he did a nice job.

Never heard anything like what comes out of this 18 year old's, wow (safe to listen to)
I'm usually not impressed by beat boxing. But this one had me amazed. Watch it ALL the way through to get a sense for what this young man has had to go through to put these sounds together. He's got to be good at that African click language thingy.

What type of ship is your church? Cruise ship, fishing boat, battleship, or what?
Every boat has a purpose and reason to exist. Some are for entertainment, some are for secret war missions, and others are for turning a profit by catching fish. Houseboats, submarines, pirate ships, and lifeboats. Each have their reason for floating.
The same is true for a church - while the church theoretically exists for God's outlined purpose in scripture, they go about it differently. Some use entertainment to get it done. Some use a battleship and weapons to get it done. Some streamline to be effective at it as possible to turn a profit. Yet others simply serve to be a life saver.
Question is - what type of ship is your church most like? What ship would you like it to function more like? Why?

That said, here's a pic of our newest addition to our family. And if you'd like to check out our fam blog, head over here. Thanks to my wife for keeping our fam blog rolling.

Growing in numbers and fear, the #church (not the #swine flu)
Check out this verse. When a ministry grows in numbers, is it also growing in fear of the Lord?

After, all glued up
Big boy! Not a single tear. Quote of the evening, "Your air smells
nice," while they glued under his nose. She thought he said, "Your
hair smells nice."

Introducing the iBible
Some of it funny. Some of it not. Some of it believable if it were early 1990's.
